The Mekong delta province of Dong Thap and Japan’s Ibaraki province will sign an agriculture development cooperation in upcoming times.
At present, Dong Thap Province is one of leading provinces in the Mekong delta in agricultural restructuring to 2020 and vision to 2030 while Ibaraki province is the second agriculture province in Japan where farmers are applying high technology in farming effectively.
Dong Thap Province plans to cooperate with Japan’s Ibaraki province on ornamental trees and vegetables, packaging, processing and preservation of imported fruits as well as training staffs in farming sector and laborers.
The cooperation is expected to help Dong Thap Province improve its agricultural quality with modern trend.
