Disadvantaged children nationwide receive gifts for Mid-Autumn Festival

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ho Chi Minh City in conjuction with the Youth Union in Binh Chanh District held a mid-autumn festival at Phong Phu Primary School for more than 700 children in special circumstances on September 6.

Under the program, the delegation offered electric eyes to 20 blind children .

The municipal Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union handed over 5,500 gifts to disadvantaged children and those with disabilities at Tumor Hospital, Children's Hospital no.2, Cho Ray Hospital and in districts including 9, Binh Chanh, Nha Be, Can Gio, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Thu Duc, Go Vap.

A “Fairy Moon” festival was held by the People’s Committee of District 1 on September 5 with 800 gifts and 80 scholarships presented to disadvantaged children. 

Bibica Corporation (Bibica) and local authorities of Ho Chi Minh City and provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Can Tho, and Thua Thien-Hue have granted thousands of presents to poor and disabled children.

Former Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Xuyen and head of the central board of health care and protection Nguyen Quoc Trieu have visited child patients who are receiving cancer treatment at the capital-based cancer hospital (hospital K), the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and the Paediatrics Hospital.
