Deputy PM praises police officers for investigation of murder case

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc lauded police forces that arrested a man who killed four family members in the central province of Nghe An.

The People’s Committee in Nghe An July 23 received a document from the government’s office in which Deputy Prime  Minister Nguyen Xuan appraised police officers who have worked around-the-clock to detect the murder.

In the letter, Mr. Phuc, head of the government’s Steering Board of Crime Prevention Department praised police officers in Nghe An, from the Ministry of Public Security, a mountainous field in Tuong Duong District, the provincial People's Procuratorate and safe guards of Tam Hop Station to make concerted efforts to find out the murder

As Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper released, on July 2, father and son Vi Van Hoan in Phong Village in Tam Hop Commune arrived at Canh Ta stream to fish and then they discovered the bodies of 28 year old Lo Van Tho, inhabitant in Phong Village also; Tho’s mother Vieng Thi Duong, 63;  Tho’s wife Le Thi Yen, 26, and Tho’s son Lo Viet Chung, 11 month old, all of  them had suffered many stab and slash wounds.

After 18 days to investigate, police officers in Nghe An Province and a mission team from the Ministry of Public Security and other police forces had detained Vi Van Hai, or Man, 20 year old, who are inhabitant in Phong Village.

Man confessed to kill four people from personal conflict as he secretly picked lemon in a mountainous field owned by Tho’s family and he met Tho.

Currently, investigation police in Nghe An decided to prosecute Vi Van Hai for murdering charge.
