Danang calls for support to flood hit provinces

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said Haima typhoon, called the 8th typhoon in the country, entered north of the East Sea with a speed of 13 to 16 and moving toward Guang xi (China) yesterday.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said Haima typhoon, called the 8th typhoon in the country, entered north of the East Sea with a speed of 13 to 16 and moving toward Guang xi (China) yesterday.

On October 21, the typhoon was away from the Spratly Island of 720km in the East-EastNorth. The typhoon made lanfall of Guang xi (China) with a speed of 12 to 15.

On the other hand, yesterday, the central city of Da Nang Party Committee called for support to flood hit people in the central provinces. The city delegation led by deputy chairman of the People's Council Nguyen Nho Trung visited and handed over VND 2.5billion for flood hit people.

Of these, the city offered VND 1billion to Quang Binh province and VND 500million each to Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri.

Vice chairwoman of Ha Tinh Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Mai Thuy said nearly 70 delegations nationwide visited the province to support flood hit areas and donated VND 12billion for local people. Besides, local residents received gifts, valued at around VND 5billion.
