Following Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang’s instructions, HCMC’s Cu Chi authority started building gratitude house for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Kieu Oanh and concrete path leading to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Em’s house, said Cu Chi Secretary Party Committee Le Minh Tan on February 20.
Total spending for gratitude house and concrete path is VND180 million (US$8,065); of which VND130 million coming from Cu Chi's state budget and the remaining contributed by organizations and individuals in the District.
Before, the Secretary of municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang and a delegation paid a visit to families under preferential treatment policies in Cu Chi District including Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Le Thi Kieu Oanh and Nguyen Thi Em. After facing the path that led Ms. Em is very rough, Mr. Thang asked local authority to set a plan for building a new path, creating favorable conditions for the mother’s traveling.
