Food inspectors in Hanoi raided a cold storage owned by Nguyen Ba Trong in Chuong My District and seized three tons of rotten pork.

According to an inspector, the rotten pork had been collected from diseased and dead pigs of farmers who had supplied the pork to food processing units.

On the same day, the inspectors also checked the Long Binh Food Processing Company on Nguyen Khoai Street in Hai Ba Trung District in Hanoi and found a huge consignment of pork without any markings of origin.

Dao Quang Binh, the company owner, said that he had bought the above 300,000 kilograms of pork from Chuong My District for processing into food products to sell in Hanoi and neighboring markets.
