Nguyen Ba Thanh  Party Secretary of Da Nang City, has been appointed as Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee.

Mr. Thanh, aged 60, was born in Hoa Vang District in Da Nang City.

He had been holding the post of Director of Quang Nam-Da Nang Agriculture Department, Chairman of Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee and later Party Secretary of Da Nang City.

Vuong Dinh Hue, Minister of Finance, was named as Head of Central Economics Commission.

Mr. Hue, aged 55, was born in Nghi Loc District in Nghe An Province. He had been General Auditor from July 2006 to 2011.

The moves were aimed to concretizing the resolutions passed at the 5th and 6th Plenary sessions of the 11th CPV Party Central Committee.

The Central Internal Affairs Commission is a consultancy agency for the Central Committee regarding policies and strategies related to internal issues. It will also serve as a standing unit for the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption.

The Central Economics Commission is also a consultancy agency for the Central Committee regarding policies and strategies in relation to economic issues.
