City Party Chief welcomes delegation of US House of Representatives

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan yesterday had a meeting with a delegation of the United States House of Representatives led by Mr. Ted Yoho, Chairman of the Asia and the Pacific Subcommittee at the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Ms. Mary Tarnowka , the United States Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City also attended in the meeting with the city Party Chief.

Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan affirmed that the Vietnam and US comprehensive partnership relations developed in the multifaceted fields for mutual benefits of the countries’ people, regional & international peace and stability.

The city Party Chief appreciated the cooperation programs as well as trade and investment relationship between states of the United States of America and Ho Chi Minh City; especially in the educational sector.

Mr. Ted Yoho affirmed to continue making his efforts in boosting economy, trade and culture relationship development between the two nations, and believed that the upcoming presence of US President Donald Trump at APEC summit 2017 to be held in Da Nang contributed to further develop the relationship.
