Charity houses, gifts given to poor people on occasion of Tet holidays

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan and his delegation yesterday arrived in Chieng Yen village in the northern mountainous province of Son La to give gifts to poor households, families in the top social welfare brackets and those serving in the national revolutionary movement.

25 gifts were handed to families whose economic condition is in the poverty line each worth VND1million and one sweater.

The delegation also visited Phan Trong Duy, veteran in Moc Chau District, and Luong Thi E’s house in Hin Pha village in Moc Chau village and Vietnamese heroic  mother Doan Thi Diep in Son La Town.

On the same day, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa BInh visited families of Vietnamese heroic mothers, beneficiaries of social policies, and poor police officers in Can Giuoc District in the Mekong delta province of Long An.

Deputy PM asserted that the Party and the government always pay attention to social welfare policies for those who served in the country’s revolution as well as calling for social contribution to take care of them.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Tat Thanh Cang and medical staffs of the hospital in district 2 came to Long An Commune in Can Giuoc District of Long An Province gave charity to Nguyen Van Hai, son of a martyr and Huynh Thi Be Bay. The hospital covered the construction expenditure of the two charitable houses.

Medical staffs also provided free examination and drug to locals in the commune. Poor habitants were also given cash of VND1 million and essential commodities.
