The highest individual bonus of VND950 million (US$41,000) was quoted by an enterprise with the domestic investment capital. The average Tet bonus in local businesses is VND6.5 million.
Meanwhile the highest Tet bonus in a foreign-direct-investment (FDI) enterprise is VND352 million; the FDI sector has an average Tet bonus of VND7.8 million.
In addition, workers will enjoy a 7-day vacation for the 2018 Tet, from February 14 - 20, 2018 that fall from the 29th day of the Twelvth month of the Year of the Rooster to the 5th of the First month of the Year of the Dog in the the lunar calendar.
The HEPZA’s Labor Union will also offer 3,000 gifts and 6,000 bus tickets to disadvantaged employees of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Zones in the city, aiming at helping poor workers in provinces of Phu Yen, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Hanoi to return their homelands on Tet’s holiday.
