Blast damages Thai Nguyen Province Police chief’s house

A blast took place early Saturday at the house of the director of the Thai Nguyen Province Police Department in northern Vietnam, damaging the home but no casualties were reported.

A blast took place early Saturday at the house of the director of the Thai Nguyen Province Police Department in northern Vietnam, damaging the home but no casualties were reported.

The blast occurred at around 2:20 AM at Mr. Nguyen Nhu Tuan’s on Luong Ngoc Quyen Street in Thai Nguyen City of the northern province. The ceiling of the ground floor was broken down, damaging a car inside.

When the explosion took place, the police officer, his wife and two children were sleeping upstairs and were hot hurt.

As the provincial police chief, Mr. Tuan has recently been cracking down on crimes, and has received many threats.
