People’s Committee in the southern province of Binh Duong said it will spend VND500 billion ($471.3 billion) for the national poverty reduction, helping families whose economic condition is on poverty line or close to poverty line.
For detail, the state local budget will spend VND118 billion. Of the amount, VND81.6 billion will be used for buying insurance for these above-mentioned people, VND5.1 billion for electricity support and VND31.4 billion for scholarships and fee exemption.
In addition, credit package of VND338.2 billion will be used in vocational training and safe agricultural products.
Apart from which, social contributions will be for repairing charity houses worth VND45 billion.
Furthermore, along with poverty reduction program, advanced closed production models connecting with product consumption will help farmers.
At present, as per the multi-dimensional poverty household standard, Binh Duong Province has around 3.889 poor households accounting for 1.32 percent and 2,870 families close to poverty line accounting for 0.97 percent of 300,000 households in the province.
