According to the provincial People’s Committee Office yesterday, province leaders have paid special heed to the prolonged metro line and Bus Rapid Transit (BTR) route from new Binh Duong city to Suoi Tien station in HCMC.
The first one will have the total capital of VND2 trillion (US$88 million) while the second one will cost VND1,961 billion. They are expected to be built from Official Development Assistance (ODA) funds or other investment models such as Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Build-Transfer (BT).
The metro line extension project would improve regional connectivity among Binh Duong, Dong Nai province and HCMC; solve traffic jam and ensure traffic safety for My Phuoc-Tan Van road, said the office.
