Binh Dinh Province welcomes Nobel Prize Laureates in Physics

On the afternoon of August 11, four Nobel Prize winning professors of Physics visited Binh Dinh Province to take part in the ninth ‘Meeting Vietnam’ program.

The four Nobel laureates are in Vietnam to participate in the ‘Meeting Vietnam’ program, namely, Professor Jack Steinberger (Nobel Prize in Physics in 1988), David J.Gross (Nobel Prize in Physics in 2004), Georges Smoot (Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006) and Sheldon Lee Glashow (Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979).

Earlier on August 4, Professor Klaus von Klitzing (Nobel Prize in Physics in 1985) came to Binh Dinh Province.

Five professors and more than 200 scientists from 30 countries will take part in the inauguration of the International Center for Science and Interdisciplinary Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhon City on the morning of August 12.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province welcomed the Nobel Laureates at Phu Cat airport.

The ‘Meeting Vietnam’ program will take place from July 28 to August 17 in Quy Nhon City of Binh Dinh Province.
