Binh Ca Bridge opens to traffic

The People’s Committee of Tuyen Quang province and the Transport Ministry yesterday inaugurated Binh Ca Bridge linking whole road of Ho Chi Minh from Cao Bang to Ca Mau province after more than 2 years of construction.

This bridge is named after Binh Ca revolutionary historical relic, associated with the resistance against French colonialism.

The construction connects with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway and regional roads, contributing to shortening the travel time from Tuyen Quang to Hanoi and the neighboring areas. 

It has total length of 12.92 kilometers with total investment capital of VND 812,687 billion (around US$ 35 billion) from the Government bonds, including VND 560 billion (US$ 24million) for construction and VND 73.7 billion (nearly US$ 3.2 million) for site clearance cost. 

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Minister requested the management board of Binh Ca Bridge to well maintenance the bridge and coordinate with local authorities and relevant agencies in the protection of road corridors. 

Ho Chi Minh road has 3,183 kilometers length across 28 provinces and cities from the North to South. 

With the northern province of Tuyen Quang, the Ho Chi Minh Road stretches almost communes belonging to revolutionary historical sites, and connects with regional traffic systems.
