Ba Ria- Vung Tau to plant over 110,000 trees

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment & the People’s Committee of Ba Ria- Vung Tau province yesterday jointly held a conference of “A dialogue on environmental policies and sustainable development” in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau.

Accordingly, the conference is an opportunity for environmental managers to listen to suggestions, as well as clear up difficulties of enterprises in the field of natural resources and environment.  

Deputy Minister of Nature Resources and Environment Mr. Nguyen Linh Ngoc said that Vietnam has total 67 industrial parks, 532 industry clusters and 5,000 trade villages still using outdated technologies and are likely to cause environmental pollution.

On the same day, Ministry of Nature Resources and Environment and Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) launched a tree- planting program in Vung Tau city under  “One million green trees for Vietnam” Fund.

As plan, more than 110, 000 trees will be planted nationwide.
