Party, local authorities and citizens of An Giang province held a solemn ceremony at President Ton Duc Thang Commemorative Site in My Hoa Hung Commune of Long Xuyen City in An Giang Province to commemorate the 34th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang’s death on March 14.
PresidentThang devoted his life to national liberation and unification. He was President Ho Chi Minh’s closest friend and exemplary leader of the Communist Party.
He represented Vietnamese working class citizens and solders. He was also a role model for the revolution.
