Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Central Department of Propaganda and Training and Ministry of Information and Communications yesterday held a press conference to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police Force's Traditional Day (19th August, 1945- 2015) and 10th anniversary of the “All people protect the national security” festival (19th August 2005- 2015).
At the conference, Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Van Hieu said that from now to the traditional day, the Ministry will collaborate with relevant ministries, departments to organize series of meaningful activities, marking the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police Force's Traditional Day and 10th anniversary of the “All people protect the national security” festival such as honoring 70 groups and individuals, staffs and officials with their contributions for the “All people protect the national security” movement; exchanging outstanding individuals and the cross-programming to exchange with history witnesses.
The anniversary ceremony will be broadcasted live on VTV 1 and Vietnam Radio of Voice in morning on August 18.
On the same day, in Hanoi, Ministry of Public Security and Ho Chi Minh Museum opened a photo and documentary exhibition.
On display were nearly 500 photos, documentaries and exhibits to introduce to visitors outstanding activities and achievements of Vietnam People’s Police Force during past 70 years.
