200 workers get married on National Day

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Worker Support Centers (YWSC) held a mass wedding for 100 worker couples in the city on the National Day of Vietnam.

Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Dinh La Thang, former Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang, the HCMC People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong, the HCMC People’s Council Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Quyet tam and Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung attended in the event.

At the ceremony, the worker couples seat bridal cars running across main roads of the city, and then they thurified at Uncle Ho’s statute and let out balloons to welcome the National Day of Vietnam.

The city leaders offered provincial badges for 100 lucky couples in their happinest day.

This wedding becomes an annual cultural event for low-income workers, staffs, teachers and laborers in the industrial parks, export processing zones, schools and companies throught out the city.

After nine years, the organizers has held weddings for 512 worker couples.
