The activity was part of a string of events under the workers assistance program which has been implemented in the city since 2011 and provided job consultancy to 49,000 people.

This year, the program coordinated with job service centers in other provinces and cities comprising Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, Can Tho and Dak Nong for the first time, transporting young people from the provinces to the city free of charge.

In HCMC, the program’s workers have been present at their offices and at coach stations to supply youth with job advices and letters of introduction so that they can arrive at the headquarters of recruitment businesses for interview.

The program aims to assist youth to find jobs and limit the operation of employment brokers at bus and coach stations in the city.
