US women delegation works with SGGP Newspaper

Social activist Merle Evelyn Ratner led a delegation of US women to visit and work with the female journalists of Saigon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper yesterday.

At a friendly atmosphere, both sides discussed on issues relating to women's rights, movements and equality, and women's development in the political, social sectors.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of SGGP Newspaper Ly Viet Trung shared about the achievements and endless efforts of the State of Vietnam under a target of women’s protection, support and comprehensive development, building happy families.

The US delegates also shared about feminism, anti- supremacy of the people, role of colored- skin women in national liberation movements, justice on environment, climate, homosexuality, gender equality, anti- sexual harassment in the United States of America and Asian immigrants in the country … 

The US social activists admitted that there are still many US women suffering discrimination based on skin color and sexual issue…
