Police identify name of dead man in wardrobe

Police yesterday identified the corpse inside of a wardrobe in a house in Ho Chi Minh City’s Hoc Mon District and hunted the house owner.

The dead man is Nguyen Vo Thanh P. born in 1989, from the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. He was found dead in the wardrobe at the house in Street Phan Van Hon in village 3 in Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune owned by Le Quoc Phuong who was suspected to involve the murder. The corpse was decomposed.
As Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported, couple Le Quoc Phuong and two kids have lived in the house lately. A few days ago, Phuong and his wife had conflict, the wife took the two kids to live in other shelter.
Neighbors of the house banged on the door when they smelt awful odor from the house on August 16 yet nobody answered the door; accordingly, they phoned the wife to inform.
Soon the wife and another woman returned the house and opened it. They discovered the decomposing corpse in the wardrobe.
The murder was reported to local police. Through examination, police verified the man was killed on the night on August 13. The corpse was covered in rain coat.
Locals said that a few days ago, Phuong organized a party with several friends. They still saw Phuong on August 16 yet when the corpse had been discovered, Phuong disappeared.
