Investigation police department C45 under the Ministry of Public Security yesterday announced to bust an expensive prostitution ring employing models and beauty queens.
Police on Monday arrested Doan Ngoc Minh, 25, residing in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 5, on suspicion of prostitution brokerage in association with a prostitution ring having the involvement of many local models and beauty pageant contestants.
Before, on May 25, investigation police of C45 caught two couples in the act of sexual intercourses in Ha Long Plaza Hotel in the northern province of Quang Ninh. At the same time, police also arrested broker Tran Duc Thuy Lien, 30 from HCMC’s District 12.
Through investigation, Minh and Lien took a prostitute in the Mekong delta province of An Giang to Quang Ninh. She would earn US$7,000 a day.
Moreover, through checking the hotel, police discovered that LTT, 29 in Quang Ninh, who won the second prize in the beauty contest, held by the Theater and Cinema College, are also in the hotel with a man and she participated in the ring too.
Investigators verified Tran Duc Thuy Lien and Doan Ngoc Minh are leaders of the prostitution ring which provide beautiful girls and beauty pageants to rich men. The ring was found to charge customers from US$1,000 to US$20,000. Many models and beauty pageants involved in the ring.
