HCMC police seize 500 kg of Ketamine

Hundreds of police officers raided a warehouse in Vinh Loc A Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, seized a Ketamine haul weighing nearly 500kg worth almost VND500 billion (US$21.4 million), officials said at a press brief yesterday.

Police officers from the Ministry of Public Security worked with their peers in the southern province of Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City in the mission.
Police officers apprehended four people including ringleader Liu Ming Yang, Jhu Minh Jyun and To Gia My who are Taiwanese-Chinese and Vietnamese Nguyen Thi Thu Van, officials said on Sunday at a press meeting yesterday.
According to initial declaration, Liu Ming Yang directed Jhu Minh Jyun to enter Vietnam on March 14 and then received four package pressing machines imported from China through Mong Cai border gate in the northern province of Quang Ninh and transported them to a warehouse at 110/1, Go Xoai, Binh Hung Hoa A Ward, Binh Tan District.
