City police prosecute four for running prostitution ring

Ho Chi Minh City's Investigation Police on Monday prosecuted four persons for indulging and facilitating in acts of prostitution.

The four people named were 27-year-old Vo Thi My Xuan, winner of Soc Trang Beauty Pageant 2009; 40-year-old Tran Quang Mai from District 3 of HCMC; 43-year-old Nguyen Huu Dat from Binh Thanh District; and 27-year-old Le Quang Tuan Anh from Phu Nhuan District.

Another ring middle woman, 26-year-old T.T.H, second runner-up of Miss Shinning Beauty, was let out on bail as she was pregnant.
 
On June 6, scouts from the city Police Department raided two hotels in the city and caught four call girls indulging in prostitution.

The women were supposedly operating a call girl ring of young girls, models and students. They charged US$2,000-2,500 for a one time encounter. They also organised ‘sex tours’ for young pretty looking girls to serve customers abroad.
