The female passenger with Chinese national, Fen Chengyu, uttered ‘there’s a bomb’ while she was checking in to board a Vietjet Air flight at Cat Bi Airport in Hai Phong City.
Soon, the security at the airport checked the passenger and her luggage but they didn’t find any suspicious items; however, the female passenger’s word has threatened the aviation security; accordingly the airport officials wrote document for handling the case.
According to Vietnamese law, passengers toting weapons, ammunition, explosives and radioactive substances and providing false information that compromises flight safety are liable for the maximum financial penalty of VND50 million (US$2,200), and put on a no-fly list.
