The incident took place at 9 am (local time), as the carrier’s Embraer 190 aircraft was en route from Yangon to Mandalay with 82 passengers and seven crew members aboard.

The pilot informed the control tower before landing that he was unable to pull down the nose wheels. Despite the technical failure, the captain followed emergency procedures and made a safe landing. No one onboard was hurt.

A rescue team later appeared at the scene to bring passengers out of the plane.
