According to BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti, the forecast is based on analyses on high domestic demand and stable investment.

High consumption in Java, Sumatra, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, among others, will boost the national economic growth, Damayanti said, adding that the country recorded a notable improvement in export performance.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Minister of Coordinating for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution said Indonesia still ensures elements promoting domestic economic growth in the context of global uncertainties arising from the US-China trade war

According to the minister, Indonesia's economy has not only grown but also improved its growth quality, coupled with the national inflation rate that is controlled at a low level and a reduction in the poverty and unemployment rates.
