The convicts placed a self-made bomb in a garbage bin at Ramkhamhaeng street on the evening of May 26, 2013, killing seven people and causing damage property worth about 402,000 THB (12,900 USD) to surrounding kiosks and buildings.
In 2015, the Thailand’s Criminal Court had imposed a 50-year jail term for murder attempts and possession of prohibited explosives on the defendants. The Court of Appeals reduced the verdict to 33 years and four months in jail in June 2016.-VNA
