Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho and deputy chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Tin yesterday attended a ceremony to start construction of a route linking Pham Van Dong Road up to Go Dua Intersection in the Belt Road no.2, Thu Duc district.
The 2.75 kilometer long road will go through Linh Dong, Tam Phu and Tam Binh wards in Thu Duc to connect Pham Van Dong with Go Dua.
In the first phase expected to complete within two years, two branches running parallel to the main road will be built at a total cost of VND1.34 trillion (US$50.48 million). Each branch will measure 10.5 meters in width and has three lanes.
Besides, construction will comprise three bridges namely Rach Lung, Ong Viet and Go Cat, together with drainage system, lightning system and traffic lights.
The second phase will construct eight lanes of the 67 meter wide main road.
The BT (Build-Transfer) project is invested by HNS Investment Company, Van Phu Invest Joint Stock Company and Bac Ai Investment and Construction Consultancy Company.
