VIDEO:Y shape flyover fully opens to traffic to ease city traffic jam

HCMC Urban Traffic Management Zone No.3 this morning opened to traffic Pham Ngu Lao-Nguyen Oanh branch of Y shape flyover in Go vap crossroads to solve one of 37 traffic jam spots in the city and the gateway to Tan Son Nhat Airport.

 The 280 meter long and 6 meter wide has been built at the total capital of VND57.08 billion ($2.51 million).
Previously, 240 meter long and 6 meter wide branch Nguyen Oanh-Nguyen Kiem was opened to traffic in January. The work has the total capital of VND66.55 billion ($2.93 million).
Deputy director of the Urban Traffic Management Zone No.3 Pham Ngoc Dung said that the full opening to traffic of the flyover aims to solve one out of 37 traffic jam spots in the city and the gateway to Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Aside from that, the work also aims to create advantageous travel conditions for residents at the end of this year, he added.
