SHTP launches new solar energy project

Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan yesterday welcomed businessmen of the TTI Group from the US, headed by its President H.J.Pudwill. The enterprise wishes to seek investment opportunity in solar energy.

SHTP launches new solar energy project

President H.J.Pudwill suggested to invest $150 million to build a power plant as well as a research center for solar energy on a surface area of 10ha located in the Saigon Hi-tech Park (SHTP) in District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Ms. Le Bich Loan, Deputy Head of the management board of SHTP stated that around 16ha of land is still available in her organization, so the two partners have successfully begun this project.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan highly appreciated this investment of TTI Group in SHTP and hoped that the partnership will be strong in order to help the development of the city.

In this meeting, Mr. Horst Geicke, Vice Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA) cum President and CEO of the Deutsches Haus HCMC, shared that the German government would like to invest a large amount of money in a vocation training center in District 2 of HCMC, hoping that the municipal authorities can facilitate this project.
