The scholarships cover total tuition fees for an undergraduate program - currently worth at least VND 276,000,000 (US$17,300) – and the cost of textbooks.

RMIT will grant scholarships to 23 other high school students in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Lam Dong, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Vung Tau, Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Ha Dong.

All 26 have enrolled in commerce, accountancy, business information systems, professional communication, and information technology programs at the university.

The candidates are chosen every year on the basis of academic excellence at senior high school, and/or extra-curricular activities, and come highly recommended by their principals and teachers.

This year RMIT Vietnam is also presenting a special scholarship to recognise the 35th anniversary of the founding of bilateral relations between Viet Nam and Australia. The deadline for applications is December 19.
