Giving vocational trainings to women is one of the effective ways to help improve their life  and prevent them from being enticed by smuggling rings

The project “Prevention of Women and Children Smuggling in HCM City” is aimed at protecting immigrants in HCM City.

The project has been carried out in Wards 16, Tan Thuan Tay and Hiep Binh Chanh of districts 4, 7 and Thu Duc respectively and is assessed to have gained initial success after one year in operation.

Specifically, aside from raising awareness of local authorities and people of the importance of protecting women and children from smuggling rings and organizations, the project has conducted surveys to make a list of vulnerable women and children so that necessary aids can be given in a timely manner.

Another meeting is scheduled between the delegation of Social Evil Prevention and Fighting Department under the labor ministry and the International Labor Organization on June 16 for more specific assessment.
