National Day of Thailand held in HCMC

The Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City last night celebrated National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Father's Day in Thailand (December 5, 1927- 2018).

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang highly appreciated comprehensive development between Vietnam and Thailand after 42 years of the relationship establishment especially after the two countries raised the relations up to strategic partnerships. 

Thailand is among top ten countries in Ho Chi Minh City with 195 investment projects in Ho Chi Minh City worth US$ 358 million.

On the occasion, Consul-General of Thailand Ureerat Ratanaprukse reviewed great landmarks for Vietnam- Thailand cooperation relationship during past three years. 

He shared the two- way trade turnover between the two sides hit nearly US$ 16 billion, and is expected to gain US$ 20 billion by 2020.

Thailand focuses on investing in renewable energy and petrochemical industry, as well as state welfare programs of its companies, added Mr. Ureerat Ratanaprukse.
