Meeting marking Mau Than Offensive honors female war veterans

A meeting celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mau Than Offensive 1968 was held in Ho Chi Minh City on January 13 with the participation of female military veterans .

Attending at the event were Former Vice President Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai, chairwoman of the HCMC People's Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education Than Thi Thu,head of the HCMC Party Committee's Public Relations Nguyen Thi Le, togther with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, female war veterans and heroines of the people's armed forces.
The event aims to honor the service, sacrifices and dedication of women veterans who served during Vietnam wars.
The meeting held by the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union is part of the city’s cultural and social activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the offensive against the American and Sai Gon forces.
