The event also aimed to mark the 55th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962) and 40 years since the signing of the Viet Nam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
Addressing the event, HCMUFO Vice President Nguyen Van Manh highlighted the special relationship between the two countries and the cooperation in various fields between HCM City and Lao localities. He hoped that the people of the two sides will continue to intensify and make contribution to the friendship bilateral co-operation.
For his part, Lao Consul General in HCM City Somxay Sanamoune expressed his gratitude for unique friendship between two countries and multi-cooperation between HCM City and localities of Laos over the past years.
