Labor union gives 35,000 bus tickets to poor workers

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union yesterday prepared activities to take care of workers as Tet holiday (the Lunar New Year) is approaching.


One of first activities is to give 35,000 bus tickets to low-income workers who have not planned to return their hometown for three consecutive years.
The union encouraged employers to support 70 percent of fare cost and the company union will subsidize the remaining cost.
The union will provide care to youth communist members, low-income employees, laborers suffering work accident and workers whose are living in effected -disaster locations.
Additionally, the union takes heed to workers whose spouse have incurable diseases, unemployed workers because their firms close or owners fled away.
Moreover, members of motorbike, cycle, sanitation trade unions will be taken care of by the labor union on Tet holiday occasion.
