More children are suffering breathing problems, according to Ho Chi Minh City’s pediatric hospitals.

Over 130,000 children visited doctors at Children’s Hospital 1 in August. Many of them have breathing problems caused by bronchitis or pneumonia. Children’s Hospital 2 receives around 100 infants a day with such problems.

According to reports from other hospitals, the number of children suffering breathing problems is increasing dramatically.

Unpredictable weather results in more infant victims. This is the peak season of the disease, especially for children under 5, according to medical experts.

Parents are advised to take their babies to hospitals for inoculation, supply nutritious food and keep them warm enough to resist the disease.
