Industrial production index in Ho Chi Minh City increased 6.5 percent in the first eight months this year, up 5.5 percent in the same period last year, according to the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade.
Manufacturing and processing was up 6.5 percent, electricity production and distribution up 6.2 percent and mining up 3.2 percent year on year.
The index is predicted to be more and more increased in the next months.
