Secretary Thang said that he wanted to meet with the consul delegation and listen to their straight opinions in solving problems for foreign businesses to develop in the city, contributing to the prosperity of Vietnam as well as nations investing in the country.

The city will assign authorized agencies to quickly clear difficulties that foreign investors have met in the city, he said. HCMC always carries on it ‘reform desire’, he added.

He hoped that the consul delegation and foreign businesses will coordinate with city leaders in the upcoming time to further improve investment environment, making it fairer and healthier to all domestic and overseas firms.

Dutch consul general Simon Van der Burg, deputy head of the consul delegation, appreciated Secretary Thang’s efforts to develop the city since he assumed office last month, for instance he has launched a hotline for public, cared about and accompanied citizens and businesses.

The consul delegation always has confidence in HCMC leaders such as Secretary Dinh La Thang and People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong and hoped that they will give assistances to consulates and foreign businesses, Mr. Simon Van der Burg said.
