HCMC wants to boost cooperation with Japan in hi-tech farming

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan thanked Mr. Tsutomu Takebe and members of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance for supporting building Japan-Vietnam university and creating cooperation opportunities in various fields between the two countries.
He also emphasized Japanese businesses’ support in the economic development of HCMC, especially Japan's high-tech agricultural enterprises specializing in the packaging and storage of agricultural and fishery products.
Mr Nhan was also interested in training human resources in IT and agricultural sectors. He affirmed that HCMC’s authorities will make every effort to organize the 6th Viet Nam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2018 in January, 2019.
