HCMC wants Silicon City, Fulbright University to soon operate

Speaking at a conference on SHTP missions and directions this year, Mr. Liem wanted the park to increase its investment attraction target to exceed $600 million, further efforts and concretize programs which the city Party Committee and People’s Committee have assigned to the park.
 
Reporting to Mr. Liem, SHPT management board head Le Hoai Quoc said that the park planned to attract US$600 million investment this year, obtain the export value of $9 billion and create at least 2-3 outstanding products from its research product commercialization assistance and business development programs.
 
According to Mr. Quoc, SHTP is scheduled to focus on improving growth quality and competitiveness for businesses at the park, commercializing products studied and developed by domestic hi-tech firms and creating outstanding products for the city in the semiconductor IC and biotechnology field in 2017.
 
In addition, the park will speed up attracting local and foreign experts especially overseas Vietnamese.
