HCMC to put ‘golden triangle’ out to tenders

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has approved a proposal by the Department of Planning and Investment to auction the so called ‘gold triangle’ site in downtown Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Pham Ngu Lao streets.

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has approved a proposal by the Department of Planning and Investment to auction the so called ‘gold triangle’ site in downtown Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Pham Ngu Lao streets.

The committee has also tasked the department to use the state budget for organizing the sale auction and choosing investor for the land block in accordance with current regulations.

The ‘gold triangle’ measures 13,110 square meters locating close to September 23 Park, Quach Thi Trang Square, Nguyen Hue walking street and Ben Thanh Market, where will become the terminal of many metro and bus routes.

According to plan, 60-65 storey multifunctional buildings will be developed for services like hotel, finance, trade and offices in the site.
