HCMC receives delegation of Cuban Women’s Federation

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang on October 26 hosted a reception for a delegation of the Cuban Women’s Federation led by Politburo member of the Communist Party of Cuba and Secretary General of the Cuban Women’s Federation,Teresa Maria Amarelle Boue.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang hoped that the Cuban Women’s Federation and the Vietnam Women Union in Ho Chi Minh City will have effective working sessions as well as exchange experiences in women’s activities and tighten relationship between the two sides.
Head delegate Teresa Maria Amarelle Boue, highly appreciated the preschool model for low-income families and vocational training programs for women of the HCMC’s Cultural House that Cuba can learn from the city’s experiences.
She also expressed her deep impression in Cu Chi Tunnels historical site, and military strategies and tactics that Vietnamese people and armed forces carried out in struggles for independence and unity.
