HCM City received a grant of US$27.2 million funded by foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as of May, 2018, according to a report of the HCM City Union of Friendship Originations at the annual meeting with NGOs in the city on June 7.
South Korea's Export-Import Bank (KEXIM) has expressed interest in providing capital for infrastructure and transport projects in HCM City.
The city’s authorities approved in 2017 in the amount of US$48.6 million from partners.
There are 160 licensed foreign NGOs in HCMC, including 67 organizations from America, 61 organizations from Europe, 30 organizations from Asia-Pacific and 2 organizations from Africa.
