Speaking while receiving Mr. Choi Joo Ho, director general of Samsung Electronics Vietnam, Mr. Nhan suggested the company to pay attention to localization rate of technology products made in Vietnam.
HCMC is developing smart city, innovative district and artificial intelligence urban area, informed Mr. Nhan.
At the reception, Mr. Nhan highlighted the strategic cooperation relationship between Vietnam and South Korea which has well developed for the last ten years. Samsung Group has invested in Vietnam contributing in deepening the relationship.
He congratulated Samsung on the group’s achievements of contributions to Vietnam’s export turnover and improvement of working environment for Vietnamese workers.

In the afternoon on the same day, chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received Mr. Choi Joo Ho, saying that HCMC is developing four major industries namely mechanics, food and foodstuff processing, chemical-plastics-rubber and electronics-information technology; so he expected further cooperation between Samsung and the city in the upcoming time.
Mr. Choi Joo Ho suggested city leaders to supply guidance in building Samsung Hope School projects in HCMC.
In reply, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong required the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the city’s land fund and soon send a report to the city people’s committee to meet Samsung’s expectation.
