The municipal People’s Council has approved the plan and the city will take heed to build new condominiums to replace old ones built before 1975.

For five outlying districts, housing projects in rural communes and residential quarters where infrastructure connects with major roads and resorts in new urban areas. The city administration will create more land for social housing projects in the period 2021-2025, aiming to develop traffic system in paths to Metro and the ring belts.
There will be preferential policies for those who buy houses in new residential blocks in outlying communes in order to reduce population density in the inner city.
Director of the municipal Department of Construction Tran Trong Tuan said the city is implementing 49 social housing projects; accordingly, as per schedule, low and middle income earners can live in nearly 20,000 social houses by 2020.
