HCMC mobilizes US$3.07 billion to tackle flooding

The 17 districts include 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan, Go Vap and Thu Duc.

The fund will be spent on building drainage and wastewater treatment works in center areas, and the north, northeast, southeast and west of the city.

HCMC will clean up 32 kilometer Tham Luong-Ben Cat-Nuoc Len Canal, dredge 8.2 kilometer radial canals, and build 7 wastewater treatment plants, box sewer system and eight tide control sluice gates.

In addition, it will build 68 small sewers, 7 kilometer dyke in the right bank of Saigon River and 12 kilometers in the left bank.
