HCMC leaders visit Southern VBS headquarters

A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders led by Vice Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Thi Dung on May 16 visited the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of HCM City as the Buddha’s 2,562nd birthday approaches.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, she has congratulated Most Venerable Thich Tri Quang, who is Deputy Patriarch of the VBS Patronage Council and Chairman of the VBS Executive Council of HCM City, Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns.
The Party Committee’s deputy Secretary hailed contributions made by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of HCM City to the development of country and HCMC.
She wished the Southern VBS will continue to gain more achievements in Buddhist activities and works, and develop a strong VBS under the motto “Religion – Nation – Socialism”.
On the same day, also extended best wishes to Most Venerable Danh Lung, member of the VBS executive board, deputy head of the 2nd Central Office of VBS cum member of the southern VBS Standing Executive Board.
